Favorite Race

Just curious...

What is your favorite race in Middle-Earth?

My favorite is Man (Gondor/Arnor)

Uruk-hai, naturally

Kingdom of Men all the way...

But men are so...ordinary

Yet so strong. The lore of men interests me the most...

I like men simply because they are more versatile. No other race has quite the gamut of moral stances that man does. The elves and dwarves show some shades of gray in the Silmarillion, but nothing overtly evil. The closest you would get to that would, I suppose, be Maglir. Otoh, you have entire empires of men who serve the Shadow, alongside those who fight staunchly for the Light.

Just goes to show how week a human really is, so easily swayed by the forces of light and dark. Find a Uruk fighting for the light, I dare you.

i like the elves the most cuz they are portrayed as wise and gentle beings (with a killer instinct xD)

Yet so graceful and beautiful. I wanted to sleep with Arwen so bad...

Humans.
They are the most simple creatures in their actions and yet so complicated in their thoughts.
Apart from being this poetical, ,I would say that I prefer their combat abilities(rough power combined with skill) and their variety of culture and behaviour

Dwarfs are the way to go :-)

Elves, of course! They are the most long-living and powerful of them all. A regular elf beats a regular human/orc/uruk-hai easily.

And they are good and hold noble behaviour high, and are moralistic ofc

Elves are secluded though, they stay to themselves and don't leave their homes much...More fun to run around killing anyone you please anywhere you please

I am the only Dwarf fan here it seems. lets face it, dwarves are short and bad tempered...but they build the best armor and fortifications, they have all the gold and jewels, so in my opinion a dwarf army could stand up to a army 3 times it size if not more.

JRRT agrees with me, the dwarven kingdom of Erebor held out against a army of 200 thousand easterlings, while having 30 thousand in their own army.

Well, what could've actualy torn open the gates of Erebor(if not the witch king)?

When someone is sieging Erebor, it is indeed going to be hard because nobody can break those gates except strong magic. And that's what elves are good at

and its a good thing the elves didn't try to take on the dwarves. Im sure the dwarves would come out on top but both sides would have so many dead it wouldnt be worth it

We can argue on that. Dwarves excel in melee, so it would largely depend on the terrain. On sieges, yeah sure, dwarves best elves ten to one. On plains, woods, anything that is not siege, dwarves get hammered badly.
